Walk in

Our aim

Good health, by nurturing a connection with Mother Nature.

  • To allow everyone the experience of good health by nurturing a connection with Mother Nature, body cleansing and detoxification, improvement in mental health and emotional state, and with knowledge on a balanced lifestyle, healthy habits and right and wrong food combinations.
  • To bring about a change in living — not only at the level of diet, but at the level of thoughts as well.
  • To allow people to be healthy and strong — physically, mentally and emotionally. Dependence on a person, or even on medicine, is a form of weakness.

A walk through Tapovan

Fields, fruit farms, a herd, and a hall for silence.

Seen from above, in the monsoon and in the dry months.

  1. Shanti Kutir from above — a long white hall with a blue-and-white striped barrel roof among palms, beside a green lawn with a fountain.
Shanti Kutir, the hall kept for meditation.
  2. The campus from the air: red-tiled roofs, solar panels, the blue-striped dome of Shanti Kutir, mango orchards and ploughed fields reaching to the hills.

  3. Rows of mango trees seen from above across green fields, with the long roof of the cowshed at the top left.
Mango rows — the fruit farms.
  4. A herd of brown cows grazing on wet green grass around a round concrete water tank, white egrets among them and one person walking.
The cowshed’s herd at the water tank, after rain.
  5. A plantation of young coconut palms seen from above, bright green fronds over grass, a narrow road behind.

  6. A white water tower marked “Om Shanti” at the gate, with the striped dome, mango rows and a white building behind.

  7. The white building under grey monsoon clouds, a curved black road leading to it, green crops in front and a yellow digger at the door.
Still growing — the new building in the monsoon.

What we offer

Five ways in.

  • Health Management Education

Health classes, and knowledge of a balanced lifestyle, healthy habits and right and wrong food combinations.

  • Mind & Body Detoxification

Internal cleaning. Naturopathy first stops the formation of toxins, then induces their removal.

  • Balance of 5 Elements

Our body is made of the five elements of nature, and it is treated with the same five.

  • Holistic Health by Yogic Kriya and Pranayam

Natural healing coupled with yog sadhana: kriya, asana and the breath.

  • Self-Empowering Meditation

Meditation in Shanti Kutir, which helps to treat mind, soul and nature.

The five elements

The body is made of five elements, and treated with the same five.

आकाशSpaceOpen sky over open fields, and quiet enough to hear it.

वायुAirMorning air, and the birds in it.

अग्निFireSun on the mango rows; the warmth of the day.

जलWaterMonsoon rain on the fields, and the fountain on the lawn.

पृथ्वीEarthThe fields and fruit farms our food is grown in.

Choose an element.

Meditation further helps to treat mind, soul and nature.

Nature itself is the healer (doctor).

10 principles of naturopathy

Stay

Rooms for one, for families, and for groups.

AC and non-AC rooms with one, two or three beds, and general rooms of six or ten. Indoor and outdoor dining. Shanti Kutir for meditation, and different activities for refreshment.

Rooms and the grounds

Food

Satvik food, from our own organic farming.

Naturopathy treatment is not only of the body, but also of mind, soul and nature. Eating and drinking is a daily process — so the food here is simple, satvik and grown on the farm.

The distinction between fasting and starving is as clear as day and night. Fasting is important in naturopathy, but it has no place for starving.

Pranayam

Breathe with the garden for a minute.

Follow the circle: breathe in as it opens, out as it settles. Stop whenever you like. This is a pause, not a treatment.
