Naturopathy

Naturopathy is about knowing the body.

Not only in the context of science, but also in the context of nature.

10 principles of naturopathy

  1. All diseases are one, their cause is one and their remedy is also one.

  2. Acute diseases are not the enemy but friends, for they clear the accumulated waste.

  3. The cause of disease is not germs but the toxins (morbid matter) accumulated in the body.

  4. Nature itself is the healer (doctor).

  5. Treatment, and hence healing, is not for a disease, but for the entire body.

  6. Naturopathy does not require a singular, narrowed diagnosis of the disease. It works on all fronts, at all loose ends.

  7. A patient with a chronic disease must have patience with time to get better.

  8. Naturopathy brings out suppressed diseases.

  9. Naturopathy treats body, soul and mind all together, at once.

  10. Naturopathy does not prescribe the consumption of stimulating drugs.

Disease does not arise suddenly

Diseases do not arise suddenly in the body. In reality, the development of disease is a very slow process. Vomiting, fever, diarrhoea, cold and cough are acute diseases: they go away as fast as they come. They are helpful rather than harmful, because they cleanse the body.

Every change in our body gives us some kind of signal — an indication, showing as gas, acidity, burps, itching, swelling, body odour, tiredness, indigestion or constipation, dark spots or patches, fatigue, nausea, pain, mood swings. Being unmindful, most people ignore them, or try to tolerate them, or suppress them with medicines. Symptoms can be suppressed, but not the disease. None of these symptoms is to be taken lightly, because they may indicate forthcoming temporary or lifelong diseases.

Why naturopathy?

It is not just outer cleanliness that makes an individual healthy. Internal cleaning is more essential. Eating and drinking is a daily process, and so is the formation of unwanted by-products and toxins. Diseases are actually the accumulation of toxins in the body.

Naturopathy stops this formation first, and then induces its removal. It is a detoxification process. There are many pathways for the elimination of toxins; when one or more of them gets blocked, toxins accumulate, and that takes the form of a disease. Naturopathy opens the ways of toxin removal that are blocked. This blockage is the result of nothing else but our wrong lifestyle.

Nature has given us the body, so it has all the powers to clean and heal itself. Nature can improve the efficiency of internal organs and remove dependency on drugs. That is the real meaning of a pain-free and chemical-free life. All one needs is the right knowledge, and the touch of nature.

Even healthy eaters fall sick, because a healthy body is a product of a healthy lifestyle — healthy habits — and not just healthy food. Naturopathy is not just a method of treating ailments. It is a lifestyle.

The distinction between fasting and starving is as clear as day and night. Fasting is important in naturopathy, but it has no place for starving.

For body cleansing

Satvik food

Naturopathy treatment is not only of the body, but also of mind, soul and nature. If the mind is not healthy, the soul does not have positive energy, and if nature is not simple, it is difficult for a body to be disease-free.
