About Tapovan

An ashram among fields, run as a centre for natural healing.

Tapovan Yog & Naturopathy Center — "Tapovan Ashram" — stands on the Valia–Netrang road at Pathar, in Bharuch district, Gujarat. It was established by the Vishwa Kalyankari Mahajyoti Trust.

Our aim

  • To allow everyone the experience of good health by nurturing a connection with Mother Nature, body cleansing and detoxification, improvement in mental health and emotional state, and with knowledge on a balanced lifestyle, healthy habits and right and wrong food combinations.
  • To bring about a change in living — not only at the level of diet, but at the level of thoughts as well.
  • To allow people to be healthy and strong — physically, mentally and emotionally. Dependence on a person, or even on medicine, is a form of weakness.

Still growing — the new building in the monsoon.

The white building under grey monsoon clouds, a curved black road leading to it, green crops in front and a yellow digger at the door.
Tapovan is a working ashram, and it is still growing: some of the photographs show new buildings rising among the fields.
